Why this animal
The hunting lion is sovereignty in motion: the decision made, the momentum engaged, nothing wasted. Le Traqueur brings that energy of a held course into your home, the kind that moves out of necessity, not noise. Camille painted it for the one who, once decided, follows through.
Le Traqueur is a lion caught mid-hunt: body low, shoulder engaged, mouth half-open over the fangs. Its bristling mane rises in black spikes, and over the dark coat run filaments of sulphur yellow, green, red and blue, down to the golden muzzle that gathers the light.
It is an Isorel panel cut to the exact silhouette of the animal, a wall relief that stands out from the wall by a few centimetres. The knife follows the movement of the stalk: the impastos stretch in the direction of the charge, and raking light makes the material quiver like a coat on alert.
After Le Solaire, who confronts, and Le Nocturne, who keeps watch, Le Traqueur embodies the third face of the lion totem: decision. The predator does not hunt out of anger, it hunts out of necessity, with total precision. A unique piece, hand-painted and signed by Camille, delivered with its certificate of authenticity.
