Why this animal
The radiant horse is that energy which passes on without a sound: you walk into the room and something brightens. To welcome Le Rayonnant is to bring a source of clarity into your home, a presence that warms those who come near. Camille painted it for the one who would rather give light around them than wait for it.
Le Rayonnant is a work bathed in light. This rearing horse seems to radiate a solar energy, haloed in golden and luminous tones that confer upon it an almost divine presence. The entire work vibrates with an intense clarity.
Camille executed this horse painting in acrylic with a palette knife, exploiting the full richness of this technique to capture and render light. The gilded impastos catch the natural reflections of the room where the work is exhibited, creating a changing play of light throughout the hours.
This original horse painting is, like each creation in the Les Cavaliers collection, a unique piece. The artist commits to never reproducing her works.
